Pranu Siara
Pranu Siara submitted by francescomanconi : The tomb is at least 15 meters long. (Vote or comment on this photo)
On a hill in Marmilla (South Sardinia) lies this monumental megalithic tomb, built with large slabs of limestone marl. Consisting of a corridor about 6 meters long, with slightly protruding walls, on the sides of which there are 12 cells arranged in two superimposed orders, with a quadrangular plan, the tomb has characters of uniqueness.

The complex is, in fact, defined by scholars as hypogeal-megalithic. The tomb can be called hypogeal because it was built inside a trench dug in the natural marl bank, with the height of the covering slabs at the level of the ground level. It is at the same time megalithic because it is built with large blocks that tend to be sheet-like, and flat roofs made with large slabs. The monument can be ascribed to the pre-Nuragic period, Beaker culture, about 2,500 B.C.
