Punic and Roman site in Sardinia (Sardegna)

The archaeological excavations beneath the Church of Sant’Eulalia in Cagliari are available to the visitors as an underground trail. Among the unearthed remains is the Punic quarry used up to the 3rd century BC, remains of a Late Punic sanctuary and thesaurus, as well as remains of the Roman city of Karalis including the 4th-5th century AD porticus and the 4th century paved road with houses.

The underground archaeological site is open in these hours.
