Betili di Silanus
Betili di Silanus submitted by SolarMegalith : Four bethyls on the Northern side of the churchyard (photo taken on September 2010). (Vote or comment on this photo)
Group of five Bronze Age bethyls is located near the San Lorenzo church in Silanus. It's not their original position, they were moved, but their condition is still very good (exept one with broken top). They are very similar to the bethyls from Tamuli, one of them has carved groove on it's top.

The church with bethyls is located in North-Western part of Silanus town, on the slope of the hill. It's easily accessable from the main street (turn left gong from direction of Macomer).

Additonal information submitted by Drew Parsons October 2010: There are 5 carved standing stones in the churchyard of San Lorenzo church. One is located at the front of the church and the other four around the back. One of the four at the back has been broken half way up. Another looks very male with a slit across its top although there are no female ones similar to those seen at Tamuli. The church and chuchyard are often locked and there is a high, solid steel fence around the front and a high wall around the sides of the churchyard. It would pay to arrange access before you went to the site. The church is located high above the village of Silanus on via San Lorenzo. There is parking outside the church but no sign indicating the betyls presence in the churchyard.

I notice that there are two separate pages on Meg Portal for this site. I have combined them onto the one with the most information and deleted the other.
