Nuragic Settlement in Sardinia (Sardegna)

The Nuragic complex of Duos Nuraghes is located in northern part of Borore village. It consists of two nuraghi and a Nuragic settlement around them.

Nuraghe A dates back to 1800 BC and is rather archaic - the entrance corridor leads directly to the tholos chamber, there is no intra-mural staircase for niches inside the chamber. Dimenions of the chamber are 4.80 x 4.30 m, the walls are preserved to 4.25 m of height.

Nuraghe B is younger, it was built around 1600 BC and it has all the features which are typical for tholos nuraghi including niches inside the chamber and remains of the intra-mural staircase. Dimensions of the tower are 12.50 x 13.45 m.

Around the nuraghi there are remains of a Bronze Age Nuragic settlement with distinguishable foundations of the roundhouses.
