ADMINS: Would you please rectify the description of this site? The 21 tumuli found near Sarmenstorf are called Zigiholz Grabhügel.

Niesenberg Grabhügel site page documents three large hills in Balzimoos, close to the border to Niesenberg. Already in the 1920s, the search for graves was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, it is certain that these are burial mounds. They probably date back to the Iron Age. Iron Age burial mounds often have a diameter of 24-28 meters and they are often located on flat slopes. This is also the case in Balzimoos.
