Haselberg submitted by AlexHunger : Site in Lower Saxony, Germany: Small Barow in Sea side town of Varel. About 4 Meters high. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Round Barrow(s) in Lower Saxony, Bremen

Small barrow at eastern edge of the small town, towards the port.

The locals tell fanciful tales of this being the tumulus of a king or warlord, but in truth, no one knows on account of it being now a nature preserve where excavations are forbidden and for the logical reason that the proximity of the sea and humidity would have destroyed most of the artifacts in it

12 Meters altitude
