Barrow Cemetery in Vest-Agder
This small barrow cemetery consists of 6 round burial cairns aligned in a row from north west to south east. It is on the highest point on the south east part of Hasselneset. From the site is a nice view over the ocean to the south. The site is covered with high grass but some of the cairns are still easily visible.
The largest cairn is around 20 metres in diameter and around 2 metres in height. It has a huge crater on top, making it look more like a tall crater. It is called "Store Stenhaug". The second largest cairn is around 15 metres in diameter and around 1,5 metres in height. It also has a large crater on top. The three smaller visible cairns are around 12 metres in diameter and around 1 metre in height. They have some damage in them, making them hard to distinguish as cairns at all! The cairns are believed to be from the late bronze age.
