Sippar
Sippar submitted by AlexHunger : The famous code of Hamurabi, the Akkadadian ruler of Babylon, is probably the oldest law code still extant and dates to between 1702 to 1750 BCE. This stele, covered with cuneiforms was however taken to Susan, in modern Iran, by the conquering Medes, where it was found. (Vote or comment on this photo)
