Ancient Settlement in Erzurum Province, Turkey

This oval mound, measuring 120m x 150m and 20m high, in the middle of Yiğittaşı village, has revealed 5 major levels of ancient settlement. The earliest level Va dates from the Late Chalcolithic (3,500-3,000 BCE). The Early Bronze Age levels Vb-Vd are associated with the Kura Araxes Culture.
