An unassuming but very active small museum set up in Treignes, a village secluded in a splendid rural part of Belgium.

The permanent collections exhibit the archaeological finds of the region, ranging from Upper Paleolithic to the Gallo-Roman era.
Temporary exhibitions cover a large spectrum of archaeological activities, from, say, food in pharaonic Egypt to underwater excavations (presently in preparation).

The region boasts several caves, some of which had been inhabited in the last ice-age.
