TheCaptain couldn't find on 2nd Aug 2005 I see in my notes that there is a menhir to be found in the commune of Uxelles, but there is nothing to be found on any of my maps, and I could find no signposts to it or reference to it on any of the village signs.

There is a 4 metre tall menhir to be found in the commune of Chapaize, near to the Chateau d'Uxelles.

When I was touring this area in 2005, there was nothing to be found on any of my maps, and I could find no signposts to it or reference to it on any of the village signs. Nowadays it is on the ign maps, and many internet sites, making it easy to find! How times change.
