Menhir-Sainte-Christine
Menhir-Sainte-Christine submitted by AlexHunger : With a name like Grande Borne, I expected a relatively large menhir. So you can imagine the disappointment when this rather puny less than 1 meter tall object appeared in a cow pasture at the expected location. Even a search of the adjoining woods didn't reveal a larger monument. These types of standing stones can be found in other fields in the region. (1 comment - Vote or comment on this photo)

Alex I have just seen this post from way back. I went to look at the Menhir Sainte Christine too.. last year. The photo you have is of a standing stone closely connected to it and quite interesting but the original is 3.27m high and quite impressive. If I can get photos uploaded here I will add them.. It is North East of a field called the dragons tail .. Dowsing, I found that there is a flow from there to the stone..

It then goes westerly up to the top of a hill Mont Cra and makes a loop back down le Voie de Madeleine.. through Genay... the pilgimage path to Veselay. But the width of the line had doubled on the way.. After passing back through St Christine, it goes through your stone then weaves south west to Veselay on a fascinating journey.

I have some good photos of it from 4 sides if someone can tell me how to put them in the best place!
