Pyramid in Upper Egypt (South)
The pyramid attributed to 3rd Dynasty Pharaoh huni was probably built as a Cenotaph to comemorate the reputation of the king who had is main tomb at the broken pyramid of Dashur. It has sides measuring 18,20 meters and is 4 meter high is aligned with the Nile river. It is made of rough limestone blocks bound by a mortar of clay and sand. It is unique in that it still has the remains of the mudbrick ramps built of with a filler of mud, rubble and sand. These ramps originally led to the second of the 3 steps pyramid. Nearby, there are 14 graves from the Old and New Kingdoms.
