The "forgotten" ancient town of Seleukeia lies to the south of the Taurus Mountains in Antalya Province, Turkey. It was rediscovered in the 1970s. The town was founded in the 3rd century BCE. Many buildings with pillars and a well-preserved Agora have survived till nowadays.

From the information board:

"One of the Pamphylia region's antique cites. It was a mountain settlement situated 23km north-east of Side. From an inscription found in the city, written in Side's language, it can be learned that Lyrbe had a long history. On Roman coins (30 BCE - 395 CE) are shown the Holy Stone and Holy Tree - old Anatolian traditions. This shows that the foundation of the city goes back to before Hellenistic times."
