Ptah Shepses Mastaba submitted by AlexHunger : Ptah Shepses was a very important vizier during much of the 5th Dynasty and probably exerted much power on a series of week Pharaos. His Mastaba stands next to Niuserra's Sun Temple, Sahure's Pyramid and Neferefra's pyramid. His sarcophagus as well as that of his wife is still in existance. Ptah Shepses was a very important vizier during much of the 5th Dynasty and probably exerted much power on a series of weakening Pharaos.

His Mastaba stands next to Niuserra's Sun Temple, Sahure's Pyramid and Neferefra's pyramid.

His sarcophagus as well as that of his wife is still in existance. The roof to the crypt, however, unfortunately caved in during an earthquake in the 1850s.

There is an altar where formerly 3 atatues of him stood and an open colonade. The facade apears very classical. The heavily restored tomb is nealry as impressive as temples of some pharaos.
