Pyramid in Lower Egypt (North)

Northern most of the 3rd Dynast cenotaph Pyramids. The remains, hidden in the desert hills, now rise to only 7 Meters. A limestone stela and an offering table excavated here during the 1980s, point to this pyramid being built under the reign of Sneferu. The Pyramid is aligned North-South and cosist of small limestone blocks held together by mortar.

It is ironic that Sneferu built the Pyramid here, when he completed his father's (Huni) broken stepped pyramid only a few kilometers away.
