Pyramid / Mastaba in Lower Egypt (North)

Series of 9 mastabas for Senusret II's family just north of the small town of Al Lahoun next to his pyramid. The mastabas are ingeneously made out of a sort of alabastar based cement in a cartouche shape and all seem to habe been topped by large reddish brown stones whose significance is not known at this time. The area is surrounded by a mud brick compound wall and is connected to a destroyed valley temple to the East via a causeway.
