Chambered Cairn in Peloponnese

Exceptionaly large and intact Tholos near Mycenae dating to about 1250 BCE and used over a longish period of time. Carefully trimmed rectangular conglomerate blocks where built into the hill in a beehive shape with a triangular 35 metre Dromos at the front. The tomb has a diameter of nearly 15 metres and a height of 14 metres. A megalithic 9.5 metre long and 1.2 metre wide lintel covers the 5.4 metre tall and 2.7 metre wide entrance. There is a small chamber to the right of the main chamber.
The tomb was pillaged in antiquity but was attributed to Atreus since then.
