Ancient Village or Settlement in Peloponnese Peninsula
The city of Helike was founded in the Mycenaean era about 1500 BCE and was destroyed in 373 BCE by an earthquake, and was the capital of the Achaia Region. The city held the Temple of Elikonean Neptune.
