Ancient Village or Settlement in Hungary
Hungarian Bronze Age Tell of the Herpaly culture built over neolithic remains. The site is in marshy terrain in the otherwise regulated Berettyo river valley East of town. The site was dicovered in the 1870 by F. Römer and excaveated between 1977-1982. The tell had a thickness of up to 3.6 Meters. Numerous artifacts were excavated.
