Ancient Village or Settlement in Albania

The ancient Illyrian city of Nikaia was founded in the 5th century BCE. One hundred years later the city area was too small, so the inhabitants founded the new city of Byllis two kilometres to the north. Today some ruins and remains of the ancient city wall could be visited.
