Le Mystère Des Bonnettes, Sailly-en-Ostrevent by Andy B on Wednesday, 16 January 2019

Le Sept Bonnettes (the Seven Bonnets) is not a cromlech. It is a Medieval judicial circle, sited upon the sacred Neolithic tumulus.

yes, these stones are clear to see there in the satellite view on Google maps, but somewhat disturbingly, the view on Bing maps suggests the site has been completely ploughed out.

Weird! Took us a while to find - basically just keep going round farm tracks (turn back if you cross the motorway) until you spot it. The road is marked "private", but only from one end.
