This menhir represents the geographical centre of France in the time it was erected.(French speaking part of Belgium included)
It is also situated in the midst of the mathematical diamond marked by Stonehenge - Didonne - Toul - Toulon. Elongated lines outgoing from this diamond and corresponding lines with angles of 30-60-90 degrees reach many of the capitals or former capitals of Europe and one line reaches Gizah and Mekka.
