Christianised menhir in the community of Monestiès in Tarn (81)

Monolithe massif en conglomérat de 1,39 m X 0,70 m X 0,50 m, orienté dans un plan E-O. Le menhir a été retaillé pour lui donner la forme d’une croix grossière. Il comporte une croix gravée sur chacune de ses faces.

Situé à un carrefour, sur la RD 80, route menant au hameau de la Salvetat et chemin ancien menant au Truel.
Si ce menhir a été christianisé, d'autres, dans le secteur, ont été remplacés par des calvaires.
