Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature in Honshū

A huge rock moved by the tsunami occurred in 1933 was diverted to a tsunami memorial tablet by inscribing the record on it.

During the construction of a road, the rock was buried under the soil, it was because it weight (30t) prevented from removing. The 2011 tsunami washed the soil away and the memorial sentence on it can be seen again.

Now a new dike is being constructed behind this rock, it might be moved to another place for preservation.
