Ancient Village or Settlement in Honshū
Recently (1994) discovered ancient village. It proved the birth of agriculture at the northern end of Honshū main-island which could feed 500 people. Some stone circles (graveyard?) were found here but now buried back into the ground..
One of the most attractive sightseeing spot in Aomori Prefecture with museums. Admission 410 Japanese Yen (2024 price), open 9:00-16:30 (Oct.-May); 9:00-17:30(June-Sep.), closed 12/30-1/1 only (please note Aomori is a heavy snowfall district). Official site of the site (in English)
