Rock Cut Tomb in Honshū
The north side (by the Hirose-gawa (広瀬川) river) and the south-east side of Atagoyama (愛宕山) hill, there supposed to lie numerous burial caves but most of the latter group were destroyed during the construction of roads and houses.
In 1976, a cave with red paintings of circles some of which have crosses inside was excavated during the road construction. Now it was buried back into the ground with a tiny roof in a green space close to the steak restaurant "Big Boy".
The group on the north side of the hill is still regarded as the point of interest for the local explorers.
