Stone Circle in Honshū. A sundial-shape stone circle on the hill top behind Kosaka mine. Originally there were 5 circles around the same hill, now only 1 is preserved in a fence. According to the digital map of the archeological sites in Akita prefecture
, there seems to be 4 other stone circles around this area but the sites are covered with bamboo grass and whereabouts (and conditions) of them are uncertain (ironically when this site was excavated 50 years ago the hill was a bald mountain because of smoke pollution caused by nearby Kosaka Mine Industry).
