Boeddel visited on 24th Aug 2020 - their rating: Access: 4 Now in the summer everything is pretty overgrown, but the cup-marked stone is right at the path a few meters away from the stone circles and is so high that the tall grass doesn't bother.

Die Steinkreise von Polzow (Lkr. Uecker-Randow) sind über die B104 von Pasewalk nach Polzow zu erreichen. Am Ortsausgang Polzow in Richtung Löcknitz rechts (kleines Hinweisschild) abbigen. Über einen unbefestigten Feldweg gelangt man, wenn man dem Weg linker Hand, folgt nach ca. 850 m zu den Steinkreisen.
Beschreibung
Die rekonstruierten Steinkreise sind Teile eines Gräberfeldes, das von der vorrömischen Eisenzeit bis in die römische Kaiserzeit genutzt wurde. Es wurde bei Sandabgrabungen entdeckt. Der große Steinkreis hat einen Durchmesser von 8 m. Er ist im Außenbereich aus zwei bis drei Reihen kopfgroßer Steine aufgebaut. Im Innenraum des Kreises wurden bei Ausgrabungen mehrere Bestattungen entdeckt, bei denen es sich um Brandgräber handelte. Der kleinere Steinkreis enthielt nur ein Brandgrab.
