Modern site in Shikoku
Shido-ji temple, the 84th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage route, has new dry landscape garden and old ex-pond garden with stones, the former was designed and the latter was reconstructed by the modern gardener Mirei SHIGEMORI (1896-1975).
Shido town is also known as the birth place of Gennai HIRAGA, the Japanese Leonardo da Vinci.
