This hillfort in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with an area of around 20 hectares is one of the mightiest fortifications of the north-western Slavic tribes. The fort was built during the Slavic era in the 8th / 9th centuries as a three-part, double-walled complex.

Whether the fort had a Bronze Age precursor can only be clarified by excavations. However, finds prove at least settlement activity in the area during the Bronze Age.
