Temple of Apollo in this former Greek colony which was sacked by Carthaginians in 409 BCE and was destroyed for good in 250 BCE by an earthquake.
The temple of Apollo, with 8 by 17 columns measuring 110 metres by 50 metres, dates to the early 6th century BCE and was never finished as work stopped around 409 BCE. The temple was completely destroyed by the above earthquake and has not been restored.
