Hardly visible carving on the smaller cross on right side says in German: "HE LIGT BEGRABEN. HANS WEIS EIN CIGEINER", translated as a "Here is buried Hans Weis the gypsy". And quite horrible story is associated with the cross about nomadic gypsy ho was killed and eaten by his own family. Another less sensationalistic legend say that he simply died starving.
