ladrin visited on 15th Mar 2017 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 5 Access: 5 Locally well known and favourite stone monument. Large granite boulder with several typical oval depressions, some may call it "prophetic" or "sacrificial bowls". Archaeological survey in 60s found some ancient working tools in close vicinity which fact can support therories about prehistoric sanctum. Some nice folk tales are related to this particular stone. One is explaining where the name Herrgottstein - The stone of the Lord, came from. It says that these bowl like depressions arised on the seventh day of Creation. Three wishes will be fulfilled to whoever sits there.

Cup and Ring marks / Rock Art in Bavaria

Cup marked stone, with 4 to 5 big cups. Probably a Neolithic or Bronze Age sanctuary.
