ladrin visited on 10th Feb 2018 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 4 Access: 5 Large piece of smoothly shaped granite block located on the edge of the forest, about 500m south of the Quellenreuth stone cross. It has about 120 cm in height. There is no written record about its origin or purpose.
The stone is locally known as a Swedish or French stone and folks legend talks about Thirty Years War grave. Some theories suppose this monument is the remnant of a medieval shrine other believe it is an ancient menhir.
The possible remains of a 1.2m standing stone or Early Christian cross-stone.
