Ancient Temple in Lombardia
La Rocca di Manerba is a hill located near the bank of Garda lake, surrounded by buildings of Manerba town.
The archaeological excavations provided evidence for existence of a Neolithic settlement in this place. The Romans build the sanctuary here, main part of which was a temple of Minerva. However, what can be seen nowdays are remains of a medieval fortress build in period of Republic of Venice.
The site is easily accessable - there's an asphalt road leading almost to the top of the hill, as well as an information table near the ruins.
