Holy Well in Kent. There are many reports of St. Thomas a Becket’s Well in Canterbury Cathedral, but when I visited in May 2005 the guides had never heard of it.

My directions were that it was situated north of the choir, and, on investigating this area I found a map of the medieval Priory with a well marked in this position.

It is marked between two water towers, one of which still stands. There is now no sign of the well, although it probably survives beneath the flagstones.
