Misc. Earthwork in Midi:Gers (32)
Visited on the 27th February 2007(rough plan here)
Most likely a 'Motte and Bailey' type Medieval site. But I'm not sure. Whether Medieval or not, it was probably also settled in prehistoric times, because of its dominating position.
Large bank enclosing a very large ditch (or motte) with a large raised flat area within that. To the south of this site were some raised lower platforms.
Access is difficult, and one is half the time torn to pieces by huge thorn bushes, or other undergrowth..... I have to this date found no other information on this site.
