Mammoth task for museum visitors by Andy B on Friday, 17 August 2007
(User Info | Send a Message)
MUSEUM visitors can discover what life was like in prehistoric times by digging in a sandpit.

Hidden in the sand at Bromley Museum are ancient tools and other items from the Ramsden Estate area of Orpington.

People can also find out about the remains of a mammoth found in Green Street Green.

Exhibition curator Adr-ian Green said: "The excavation is popular because visitors can get involved."

The exhibition at the museum in the Priory, Church Hill, Orpington, runs until September 23.
