Ancient Settlement in Santa Ana district.
Tazumal is one of the most important Mayan towns in El Salvador. The structures are dated for 100 - 1200 BC, the biggest among them is 23 m high main pyramid.

Among the most important finds from Tazumal there's a stone statue which is believed to represent Xipe-Totec and was probably imported from Mexico.

Near the site there is a small museum.
