Modern Stone Circle in Alabama. The idea for Bamahenge came from George Barber, an Alabama billionaire. Barber had some dinosaurs made by Mark Cline on one of his properties, and while Mark was repairing hurricane damage to the creatures in 2006, Barber "took me aside," Mark recalled, "and whispered in my ear, 'Stonehenge'."
"No Druid has ever worked this fast on a 'henge," said Mark, who erected the entire monument - after siting it to be in line with the June 21 solstice - in only four days. Mark saved time by designing only four "block" shapes, which could then be flipped over and turned around to make each look different. He completed it just in time for the winter solstice, 2012.
