Lough Muck Stone Row
Lough Muck Stone Row submitted by smithpaul : Possible 5 stone row near to the Village of Foxford County Mayo consisting of 3 standing stones, one fallen and one stump. The two tallest stones are 2m standing and 2.1m fallen. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Apparently a 5 Stone Row with three stones remaining standing whilst another has fallen and a stump of a fifth is at the SW end. The tallest standing stone is approx 2m in height while the fallen stone is 2.1m long.

This is a fine example of a rare thing in this part of the world (Co. Mayo).

Cuillonaghtan - the Irish words Coill An Aitinn = [the] Wood of the Furze.

Lough Muck Stone Row is an example of the linear measure 2.07 metres, the value I term 'faethm', Thoms's megalithic rod. The quoted height and length of the tallest and fallen columns "two metres" and "2.1" metres underline the widespread use of the value in Irish, British, Danish communities in the fourth and third millennia.
Keep going......... Neil

I'm pretty sure they are the same site so I have merged the Cuillonaghtan page here, thanks for confirming that. It's good to have some more input from Ireland, thanks Paul.
