Anta da Torrinha is a dolmen located near by the village of Vale de Maceiras in the municipality of Fronteira. Although the proximity with this village the monument is actually located in parish of Veiros in the municipality of Estremoz, in the Évora district. This dolmen was probably built in the Neo-Chalcolithic period. This site is not yet classified or protected by law.
About the architecture
Dolmen with a five-pillar chamber in situ and a corridor with three pillars on the south side and also in situ. All the pillars were made in schist. Nowadays the monument is difficult to visualize since is being used to pile rocks from the cleansing of agricultural land near by.
About the access
The access to this one can become a difficult task. The monument is not so far away but is located in a position of difficult reach. I had to walk 600m through a wheat field with no direct pathway to it.

Aditional information:
- You should always ask permission to visit the site if it's located in private property. People are usually nice and there should be no problem.
- The entrance to the zone of the monuments may be blocked by fences, they were essentially made to demarcate the land and not allow the escape of livestock.
Usually there are spaces in the fences where the access is possible. When entering in demarcated land never forget to close the access gate, you need to be very cautious because cattle can escape.
- There are no signs prohibiting us from entering so the access can be open but be careful when you explore every time you see this red plaques that alert you for the Hunting Zones. Remind yourself that usually hunters can only hunt at selected hunting days (Thursdays, Sundays and on public holidays).
