Standing Stones (possible remains of a Megalithic Tomb) in Armagh

Two stones, both fallen, may be the remains of a more extensive megalithic structure of unknown type. Both are of fine grained igneous rock. In the 1960s one was still upright & stood 2.56m high x 1.3m x 0.48m, while the other measured 2.34m long x 0.64 wide. The stones were originally 3m apart. Traditionally, the standing stone was said to have been thrown into place by Finn McCool from the summit of Slieve Gullion.

Re: Crossmaglen by Anonymous on Monday, 10 December 2018
I have a childhood memory of a standing stone close to St. Patrick's primary school on the Carran road, Crossmaglen. Anyone know about this?
