For more information see NI Monument 517 (SMR Number ANT 007:030) which says: "In deep bogland, almost inaccessible. A dugout canoe, 27ft long was found here. APs revealed a dark ring 35m diam., intersected by a 2nd circular outline c.22m diam. The crannog is accessed by an overgrown track & consists of a very low, drier platform, not more that 0.5m above the edges, which are mostly defined by wetter surrounding ground. It is approx. 30m N-S x 31m E-W & higher at towards the centre, but the vegetation is very thick & it is difficult to be sure. The 2nd feature seen on the AP remains uncertain."
The NI Monument record links to a PDF document with a brief report from 1993.
