Chambered Tomb in Pembrokeshire. The Cuckoo Stones Dolmen are found near the village of Sageston, near Carew Pembrokeshire. The capstone has collapsed onto the lower stones.

There are a collection of stones under and around the monument. At a guess the the entrance could have once faced south though this is impossible to clarify. The site is on a brow of a hill on private (grassland) farm land. I looked for any signs of rock art and could not see anything distinct, but there were a few marks which were intriguing, though very faint. The height of the of the monument would be around three feet.

Thanks - I have tried to locate this 'on the ground' without success - so perhaps I was just looking in wrong country and county! I do quite like Yorkshire though...no offence intended...

PAB - The photo was incorrectly named - hence matching with this page.

I can't find anything shown at or near this grid ref on coflein which would correlate with the description. Site was added by Vicky who had quite a few visits to the area (and prob still does) so inclined to think the info reliable.

PAB - looking into it. Brigantia usually posts from Yorkshire way - so I suspect a grid letter error... on the case

Andy, could the details be checked out for this please....I cannot find anything in Pembrokeshire at the GR etc given on the site page, and the photo mentions Yorkshire.
