Foel Fawr (Anglesey)
Foel Fawr (Anglesey) submitted by guile : Foel Fawr tomb - close up of this interesting site. The farmer told me somewhat sadly that no historical artefacts had ever been found at this site. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Chambered Tomb in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon) - possibly a natural structure according to Coflein

Destroyed tomb, with constituent parts thereof still visible.

For more information see Coflein 302680, which describes this site as "A litter of large natural slabs has been identified as a ruined and collapsed megalithic tomb chamber ..... Without further investigation this monument can only be regarded as a suggestive natural feature."

The Northern Antiquarian also feature a page for this site - see their entry for Foel Fawr, Llanfechell, Anglesey, which has directions for finding this site together with a brief archaeology & history, a drawings of the tomb (one from 1804).

Note: visitors need to ask permission to visit this site from Cromlech farmhouse.

Foel Fawr (Anglesey)
Foel Fawr (Anglesey) submitted by guile : The remains of Foel Fawr tomb. This name is a bit misleading, the farm visible in the picture is Foel Fawr, access to this site is from the farm next door obviously named "Cromlech". I was chased from this site by a very aggressive black cow - also in shot. (Vote or comment on this photo)
