Bryn yr Hen Bobl submitted by raythemapman : After looking at Angie's artist's impression of Trefignath, I decided to re-create a photo of Bryn yr Hen Bobl as it was when it was first built. The mound was made of limestone rocks now covered with grass, I had to get rid of the tractor tracks and have added two bushes.

Bryn yr Hen Bobl

Bryn yr Hen Bobl submitted by raythemapman : Site in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon): When excavated in the 1930s the broken bones of 24 humans were found in the large chamber. The tomb has now been preserved and is circled by a new strong fence with a locked gate.

Bryn yr Hen Bobl
Bryn yr Hen Bobl submitted by raythemapman : Site in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon): Tomb entrance, the two round holes cut into the front stone are beleived to have allowed bones and grave goods to be passed into the chamber, also to allow the spirits to leave the Tomb. The stone would have reached the ceilng of the tomb.
