Modern Stone Circle in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon)

Was surprised to see this modern circle on Beaumaris waterfront.
It is in a superb position, overlooking the Menai Straits, with towering mountains of Snowdonia in the distance.
Easy nearby parking and very easy access.
There's a notice pinned to one of the stones nearest to the water, explaining how it was (probably?) erected in 1996, when it was used to celebrate the Anglesey Eisteddfod.

"This stone circle is a symbol of the age of
the Druids in Anglesey. It stands as a
reminder that the Anglesey Eisteddfod
(Eisteddfod Mon) was held in this area in
the summer of 1996.
The Eisteddfod was originally a sitting of
bards but has evolved over the centuries
to embrace most aspects of our culture
here in Wales.
The Logan Stone at the centre of the circle
served as a proclamation platform for the
island's chief 'bard' or 'druid'.
The entire feature was adopted by the local
council."

We're looking across the Menai Straits towards the Snowdon range, approx. SSW/SW (?). It's about 6.30 - 7.00pm on 5th June 2007, so you can probably tell direction by shadows stones cast. That definitely doesn't apply to anything in the British Isles then as the Sun is never directly over anything, and you're right this circle isn't very old (it says above that it was put up in 1996). In Britain we just prey to see the sun now and again!!!
