Crownhill Down Cairn Circle submitted by Bladup : Crownhill Down Cairn Circle, It's In there somewhere! A bit of pruning wouldn't go amiss. (Vote or comment on this photo)
At SX57486026 is a cairn Circle set on a high point with distant views in most directions. It lies in very dense gorse in an area of close-cropped moorland turf and comprises an amorphous mound 0.5m high and 6.0m in diameter enclosed by an incomplete ring of boulders.

Six boulders, up to 0.4m high, are earthfast and others lie where they have been deposited. A field boundary which runs roughly north-south appears to have incorporated the feature. There's Three other Tumuli that are on Crownhill down, They're all in a South South West direction from the Cairn Circle.
